“INDIAN POEMS” is the title of a 2014 published collection by the Russian war artist Vasily Vereshchagin, which features his extensive body of work depicting India and Tibet from his 1874-1876 travels. The book was published around the time of a official visit by Russian President Vladimir Putin to India in 2014 and includes his iconic painting, “The State Procession of the Prince of Wales into Jaipur,” which is one of the largest paintings in the world.
