Description
This selection of Indermohan s writings gives a glimpse of critical journalism in India during second half of the twentieth century. It sought to create a multiplicity of forums for debate, discourse, criticism, dissent, and dissemination of Information. These were necessary to the making of a questioning public mind and of a healthy democracy. The essays in this volume draw attention to the critical dimension in events and contexts. It concerns rights and wrongs on the hand, and limits to the power and authority of the State on the other. What comes out is that critical writings clear the ground for citizenship that is responsible.
