WP Stage 2 — Focus ST Diesel MK3 (240–250bhp / 380–400ft/lb)

Stage 2 pushes the standard turbo to its safe limit. With the restrictive DPF removed and an upgraded intercooler fitted, we can extract 240–250bhp and a massive 380–400ft/lb of torque from the factory variable-geometry turbocharger. The torque figure in particular is staggering — that’s the kind of mid-range shove you’d normally associate with a six-cylinder engine.

The DPF is the single biggest restriction on the exhaust side of the ST Diesel. Removing it and fitting a straight-through replacement pipe allows the turbo to spool faster, flow more efficiently, and sustain higher boost levels without the backpressure that was holding it back. The result is noticeably sharper turbo response, a broader powerband, and more power at the top end where the standard DPF was choking the turbo off.

The intercooler upgrade is equally important at this level. Higher boost pressures generate more heat, and the stock intercooler can’t keep intake temps consistent when you’re pushing the turbo harder. An upgraded unit keeps temps down and ensures the ECU isn’t constantly dialling back fuelling to protect the engine — meaning you get consistent power, pull after pull.

Every Stage 2 calibration is custom-tuned on our in-house rolling road and optimised specifically for your hardware setup. We adjust boost pressure, injection timing, rail pressure and fuelling to get the maximum safe performance from the stock turbo without risking engine longevity.

⚠️ Important: Removing the DPF from a road-registered vehicle is an offence under the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations. A car with the DPF removed will fail an MOT emissions test. This product is intended for off-road / motorsport use only, or for vehicles not used on the public highway.
