The B58 is massively underrated from the factory and responds to tuning like very few other engines. With a full recalibration of boost pressure, ignition timing, VANOS cam timing, fuelling and wastegate duty cycle, we extract 420–435bhp and 450–460ft/lb from the standard engine — a gain of approximately 100bhp with no hardware changes required.
The closed-deck block, forged crank and forged rods mean the internals are well within their comfort zone at this power level. The result is a completely transformed car — sharper throttle response, faster spool, and a relentless straight-six surge that has to be experienced.
We strongly recommend pairing this with our custom ZF gearbox calibration. The factory torque limits will hold back the engine’s new output — our gearbox tune removes these restrictions, sharpens shifts and optimises shift points.
