The SmartElex Tracker Sensor is a 5-channel analog IR sensor designed for accurate line detection in robotic applications. Each of its five outputs provides analog data, offering finer precision than typical digital (HIGH/LOW) sensors. It works by detecting differences in infrared reflectance—white surfaces give high output, while black lines give low output.
With a sensing range of 1cm to 5cm and a 16mm spacing between detectors, this sensor is perfect for line-following robots, maze solvers, and path tracking systems. Tracker Sensor operates between 3.3V to 5V and is easily compatible with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and other development boards.
