The E1008-Red from Multicomp Pro is an insulated cable ferrule. This cord end terminal consists of a tinned copper hollow tube with a nylon white colour insulating sleeve and conforms to DIN46228 Part 1 and 4 standards. It is designed to provide a neat end termination to multi-stranded wires. They also provide a secure connection to terminal blocks, captive terminals, and stop wire strands short circuiting to adjacent connectors.

How to Crimp Cables and Wires.
Step 1: Braid the Wire. Strip the insulation off the wires if you haven’t already. Take the exposed end, and twist it between your fingers until the wires are all wound in a helix.
Step 2: Insert into Crimp. Put the wire into the crimp until it gets to a metal tab.
Step 3: rimp! Grab the crimp in your crimping tool.
