About The Author : Gordon Risley Hearn, Sir CIE, DSO, (1871-1953) was one of the most accomplished railway engineers in India where he served most of his career. He was commissioned into the Royal Engineers in 1890 and retired c1926. He wrote many books, as The seven cities of Delhi, Railway Engineer’s Field Book …, The Efflorescent History of Delhi etc.
