Adapt to climate change will entail adjustments and changesatevery level-from community to national andinternational.Communities must build their resilience, includingadoptingappropriate technologies while making the most oftraditionalknowledge, and diversifying their livelihoods to copewith currentand future climate stress. Empirical evidence from thepast twocenturies suggests that economic growth, human wellbeingand aclean environment to hand-in-hand. Increased wealth isassociatedwith improvements in nearly every aspect of humanwell-being andenvironmental quality. The right to an adequate environment or, as it is termed insometexts, a satisfactory environment, is one of theso-calledthird-generation or solidarity rights. As the bookaddresses thiscrucial issue quite deftly, it is hoped that it wouldprove to be asource of great information for the reader.
