For those interested in wheels-within-wheels on Ayodhya tangle and communal amity between Hindus and Muslims, the study is an exploration of common people’s changing soul through the history of decades-old confrontation. The book essentially remains a journalistic work on contemporary history and in parts a collection of memoirs and anecdotes but as the pages unravel, the author cannot really stay aloof and this only adds a unique dimension to the book. He puts forward his argument rather strongly that the overall future cannot be very good for the communal forces in South Asia.
