Trivedy (b. 21.6.1957) is currently Head,Dept of Pollution Studies, Y.C. College of Science, KARAD (ShivajiUniversity, Kolahpur). He did his M.Sc in Botany from Banaras HinduUniversity in 1976 and Ph.D from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur in1980. Dr. Trivedy has seventeen years of research experience in thefield of limnology, aquatic weed ecology, biomonitoring of waterpollution and wastewater treatment. He has done pioneering work inIndia in utilization of water hyacinth for sewage and industrialwaste treatment and he is a member of International SpecialistGroup of this field Dr. Trivedy has successfully carried outseveral major research project awarded Forests, Govt of India andNational River Action Plan. He has organized many national andinternational Conferences and Training Courses. He has published over sixty five research papers in reputedNational and International Journals. He has authored/edited tenbooks and is the editor of prestigious International Journals. Hehas authored/edited ten books and is the editor of prestigiousInternational Journals-Pollution Research and Jr of IndustrialPollution Control. He is editor of Environmental Directory of Indiaand ‘Encyclopaedia of Environmental Pollution Control’
